The Systems Engineer will:- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, and Database Administrators on design and delivery solutions.- Code in PL/SQL and SQL maintaining and/or creating stored procedures, Oracle packages, functions, views, data transformation scripts, data migration scripts, test data generation, and data fixes, along with any other database deliverables necessary to meet project timelines.- Troubleshoot and identify potential database design and/or database coding issues as required and provide resolution recommendations to Data Architects, Solution Architects, Database Administrators and other Database Developers as needed.- Learn and understand departmental database coding standards and incorporate these standards in all their database deliverables.- Perform other related database duties as required such as, but not limited to, peer code reviews, database defect support, as well as provide backup production support as needed.- Compose and execute ad hoc queries for user requests.- Develop, test, implement and maintain scripts.- Identify production and non-production application issues.- Identify opportunities to refine and optimize existing scripts or applications.- Serve as a mentor and provide PL/SQL assistance to team members.- Design and code new scripts or modify existing scripts to add new features or support new business initiatives.- Debug existing scripting and correct defects.- Identify areas and make recommendations for improving the system and existing scripts.- Collaborate and assist with developing tools, scripts and maintaining and updating system documentation.- Modify existing scripts to correct errors, to adapt to new environments, or to improve its performance.To apply, please submit your resume to hropp@LRS.com. - Bachelor's degree or an additional 4 years of IT work experience - 5 years of experience coding PL/SQL and SQL maintaining and/or creating stored procedures, Oracle packages, functions, views, data transformation scripts, data migration scripts - 1 year experience using source control software- Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)- Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer- Corp to corp candidates will not be considered
- Cable/MSO systems experience a plus- ETL tool development a plus- Jira Workflow exposure is a plus- Confluence exposure is a plus- SharePoint exposure is a plus
