As Cloud Solutions Technical Advisor you would be responsible for providing cloud vision and leadership and speak on behalf of LRS IT Solutions at webinars and events. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of cloud services. You will be a dynamic thought leader in the cloud community who is focused on and is skilled in explaining cloud as it pertains to all levels of audience members. At times, you will lead a technical team, develop project plans, or conduct project resource assessments. You will assist in sales efforts, and conduct web-based meetings, as well as face-to-face meetings with customers and prospects. You will also perform cloud workload assessments and cloud migrations. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. At times, you will be required to travel to customer sites within the United States.You can be based in St. Louis, Springfield or Chicago. This position is a salaried position and is eligible for overtime compensation.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Stay abreast of current information regarding cloud and cloud services.• Be an industry thought leader in understanding cloud as well as technical and operational effectiveness.• Have an overall understanding of cloud solutions and their impact on an organization.• Understand and be able to clearly communicate the value proposition of LRS cloud offerings and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.• Ability to effectively move an opportunity through the sales cycle.• Assist the marketing department in the development of sales and marketing materials.• Present at webinars and events.Organization Structure and Interfaces: LRS IT Solutions is an IBM Premier Business Partner, offering a complete line of IBM systems, software, and services to customers throughout the United States. Candidate Requirements:• 5 years in design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications.• 3 years in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.• 3 years in relevant experience in technology/software.• Working knowledge of software development tools & methodologies.• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.• Professional experience architecting solutions built in cloud.• Self-directed with an ability to manage change effectively and work in a fast-paced environment.• Effective proactive communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent grammar.• Able to present technically challenging topics to C-level executives as well as to those unfamiliar with the technology in a simplified, easy-to-understand manner.• Willingness to travel.
