The Network Administrator will: - Be responsible for long and short-term network (LAN/WAN) planning, design, and optimization. - Develop strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies (including wireless and VoIP). - Translate business requirements into network or process designs. - Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software and architecture. - Approve and modify network design and architecture to ensure compliance. - Analyze, evaluate and recommend existing infrastructure as well as new products, maintain knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise. - Administer Internet Protocol (IP) addressing. - Monitor network performance/tuning, ensure capacity planning is performed, and be proactive in assessing and making recommendations for improvement. - Monitor network links for LAN/WAN. - Evaluate new server-based software upgrades. - Provide guidance in client computer operating systems, computer naming, and user names. - Design implementation of network. - Install, configure and maintain routers, switches, and hubs for the network systems (including wireless and VoIP). - Complete documentation of network. - Perform troubleshooting procedures and design resolution scripts. - Be responsible for system security. - Develop and maintain documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software. - Assist in training technical staff in implementation, maintenance and support of LAN/WAN.To apply, please submit your resume to hropp@LRS.com. Must have 3+ years of experience with the following:- Working in an IT environment- Working knowledge of Cisco switches, routers, Cisco ASA, and IPSec VPN technologies- Routing protocols (HSRP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) - WAN technologies (Fiber, MPLS/VPLS, Cellular, Microwave) - Active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required- Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager - Experience implementing and maintaining Cisco ASA firewalls and FirePower modules - Experience using SolarWinds applications for network monitoring - Experience implementing VPN technologies - Experience performing network traces - Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio - Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)- Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer- Corp to corp candidates will not be considered
