This Quality Inspector will: - Report to the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager.- Perform detail inspections of mechanical items utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance design techniques at suppliers’ facilities in support of a major manufacturer of space launch vehicles.- Interfere with various levels of technical personnel to ensure their understanding of inspection results, prepare inspection reports and maintain inspection records, participate in and approve first article inspection reports (FAIR), and provide inspection methods guidance to engineering and design personnel.To apply, please submit your resume to hropp@LRS.com. - High School diploma or G.E.D- 10+ years of recent experience in Supplier Quality Assurance - A strong candidate must have extensive experience in inspecting complex aerospace mechanical and propulsion systems, including their detail components, in an ISO9001 or AS9100 compliant environment- Candidate must have ability to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal)- Due to government imposed security requirements, only U.S. Citizens will be considered
- Experience with inspection /fabrication of electro-mechanical assembles, cable assemblies, and soldering electrical/electronic assemblies is a plus- 5+ years of experience in inspection activities such as: In-Process, Final and First Article.- Trained and certified to the following industry standards: IPC-A-620 or equivalent, IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001- Experience using Microsoft Word and excel
