The Business Intelligence Architects will:- Install, configure, deploy, and tune BI tools and analytic servers.- Troubleshoot BI tool problems and tunes for performance.- Develop multidimensional semantic layer and BI query objects for end users.- Create reports and report templates.- Help business users select the appropriate BI tool(s).- Develop and manage BI training, documentation, and help desk capabilities.- Identify conflicting views or issues, and strives to identify the best solutions, documenting issues, completing requests for services and functioning as a liaison between user departments, IT management and software vendors.- Demonstrate extensive system/application knowledge; Provides system/application support as needed.- Promotes and demonstrates effective teamwork attitude utilizing input and ideas from others and readily offering assistance or feedback to others as needed, demonstrating user oriented focus.- Coordinates tasks and serves as a facilitator and consultant to assist in analysis of process flow and implementation of change to improve quality of service.- Subject to call back at all times. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related field is required- 4+ years of experience in an information systems environment, particularly in specific areas such as business intelligence or enterprise data warehousing may be considered in lieu of educational requirements- Must have 2+ years of experience in an information systems environment, particularly in areas such as business intelligence or enterprise data warehousing - Must have experience with BI tool architectures, functions and features and an understanding of SQL and relational and multidimensional designs required- A strong candidate must have the ability to analyze and estimate system requirements, develops alternatives, and implements solutions- A strong candidate must have extensive understanding of computer systems including hardware, operating systems, programming languages, and data communications- Demonstrated experience in a sophisticated multiple vendor information systems environment- Demonstrated understanding of business processes and system interdependencies- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in all circumstances, including very stressful situations- Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff both in and outside of IT essential as well as demonstrated experience in dealing with and managing proper escalation of critical service calls with vendor support to ensure timely and appropriate resolution to system issues- Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)- Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer- Corp to corp candidates will not be considered
