So let’s get to work!The Network Engineer will:- Design, plan and implement new cloud managed routing, switching and telecommunication strategies.- Provide network and host based security, incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration. - Provide performance forecasting and ensure industry best practices are met.- Implement the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.- Work with vendors, common carriers, subsidiaries and network engineering in identification and resolution of complex network problems. - Work with subsidiaries to give guidance and direction on conforming to Corporate Standards.- Provide tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects.- Ensure network performance and network security standards are met. - Manage hosted VoIP solution.- Manage hosted edge firewall solution.- Document network changes, policies and procedures and drawings.- Manage/lead large projects and schedules.- Be available, as required, to respond to network emergencies.- Drive adherence to corporate standards and industry best practices.- Manage network-related vendors.- Participate on infrastructure architecture governance team.- Conduct cost/benefit analysis and risk assessment for new network projects.- Manage operational costs, conduct near and long term financial forecasts for network infrastructure.- Coordinate the procurement and retirement of hardware and paid network services.- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with organization’s stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent network related activities.To apply, please submit your resume to hropp@LRS.com. - Must have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a Network Support role- Must have experience in an enterprise environment - Experience supporting wireless network devices- Experience communicating with vendors, such as AT&T and Verizon, for network issues- Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)- Corp to corp candidates will not be considered
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP or CCDP) - Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer (CCIE) Certification - Strong understanding of networking concepts, implementation and management of network management tools
