The Process / Manufacturing Engineers will:- Apply a comprehensive knowledge of composites processing to identify and understand manufacturing processes. - Develop manufacturing plan in accordance with new business opportunities. - Understand processes to improve safety, quality, cost and efficiency. - Create the assembly process required to support the manufacturing plan. - Apply 6 sigma tools to measure and analyze process data. - Assist proposal team in support of creating required manufacturing process. - Manage projects (funded through direct, indirect, IR&D or CRAD) by developing a project plan, managing work of technicians, managing to budgets and schedules, and preparing reports. - Stay current on manufacturing, material, and process technologies for potential application in the client’s current processes. - Guide the client to win new business, including both manufacturing and assembly of these types of structures. - BS Degree in Classical Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Materials Science, etc.) with a minimum of 7 years of Industry experience - 7+ years of experience in a composites process development environment working as an engineer- Strong understanding of manufacturing process for composites, to include assembly experience - Successful experience in process design and start up required - Experience working Prime contracts in support of fighter aircraft- Strong technical skills with an understanding of Prime drawings and developing process / manufacturing processes- Demonstrated knowledge of broad composites manufacturing technology - Candidate must have ability to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal)- Due to government imposed security requirements, only U.S. Citizens will be considered
- MS Degree with a minimum of 5 years of Industry experience preferred- Experience in military aerospace composites (Fighter vehicles) - Experience supporting both manufacturing and assembly of composites, to include metallic structures - Experience supporting proposal activities preferred - Experience in working with composite lamination process preferred - Experience working in a high-rate manufacturing environment - Experience in applied research and development for new products
