The Security Specialists will:- Be required to participate in shift work; resume needs to indicate they are available for both of the following shifts (including holidays if needed): either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday from 11am – 8pm or 8am-5pm. Will be expected to work at least one holiday per year as the client is open on holidays. - Handle incoming and perform outgoing security related customer calls. - Be responsible for responding to abuse complaints against customers; perform security and customer support services under general supervision. - Ensure consistent treatment of customers accused of violating the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP); speak with customers when their IP address has been identified as violating our Acceptable Use Policy. - Interact with the Residential and Business customer base to assist in resolving security incidents and concerns. - Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field - 1+ years of experience in an Information Systems environment, preferably in IT/Network Security - Security experience or Security certification (i.e. Security +) required - Background in customer service required- Knowledge of IP Addressing and basic networking concepts- Knowledge of current and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities- Experience with investigation of security incidents and an understanding of application vulnerabilities- Knowledge of security issues, techniques, tools and implications- Familiarity with developing/maintaining security policies, procedures, and incident response activities- Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)- Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer- Corp to corp candidates will not be considered
- Education in cyber security with general IT helpdesk experience or some certifications in IT and some experience with cyber security
