The Ricoh-LRS alliance developed as some LRS® customers wanted verification from Ricoh that they could replace their fleet of HP printers with Ricoh Multiple Function Products (MFPs) and other printers. Ricoh got LRS involved to test their printer line for use with VPS® output management functionality.
Today, our companies share a global relationship. Ricoh and LRS test mainframe legacy as well as UNIX-based Output Management solutions. LRS software communicates with Ricoh hardware using several protocols and data streams.
LRS provides expertise with mainframe and legacy output management that enables cost-effective distributed printing with use of the latest Ricoh printing hardware. Ricoh customers gain additional benefits and options using LRS mainframe or UNIX-based software and can also employ additional data stream conversions. LRS customers gain a cost effective hardware choice for their production, distributed, and multifunctional device printing operation.
