The LRS-Zebra Technologies alliance brings healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management customers enhanced output management capabilities for printing labels and bar codes from SAP, Oracle, and other critical enterprise applications.

Working with Zebra development, LRS has enhanced its VPSX output management solution with advanced monitoring capabilities that directly communicate with Zebra printers. The VPSX server can interrogate Zebra printers to check device status before delivering each document.

As an example, the combined solution can immediately notify an SAP user of an issue when trying to print to a Zebra device with a ribbon-out, paper-out, overheated print head, or other conditions. This enhanced integration elevates Zebra printing capabilities further into the mission-critical enterprise printing environment.

The alliance benefits mutual customers with increased visibility into Zebra device operation and print job management, lowering the cost of ownership and improving operational efficiencies.
