DMCF Web Access

DMCF Web Access enables authorized end users throughout the organization to monitor and control document processing using Web browsers on any platform. DMCF Web Access users can display lists of the DRS virtual printers they are authorized to control and issue DRS commands.

DRS has the ability to capture documents generated by distributed computing platforms, including NT, UNIX, AS/400, Linux, and the OS/390 or z/OS mainframe. DMCF Web Access enables users to monitor and control those documents easily. Users can display a document's current status along with the originating user, host name, source filename and report title.

DMCF Web Access runs on the OS/390 or z/OS mainframe and works with the Web server software and computer platform you prefer. A pair of utilities included with DMCF Web Access, LRS/Net and LRS/Web Connect, manage the communication between Web clients and DMCF Web Access.

• LRS/Net runs on the OS/390 host and separates DMCF Web Access processing from the Web server environment. This enables you to use DMCF Web Access with the web server software and platform that best meets your organization's needs.

• LRS/Web Connect runs inside Web servers on OS/390 and Windows. It is a single executable that communicates incoming client requests to the LRS/Net application server and returns the HTML response.
