I have used several different editing systems and watched the process of editing move from analog (video tape) to digital. I have been an LRSSports customer for seven years. We at McMurry University just expanded our LRSSports editing system. We added a networked video system to our existing equipment. Everything is right there and easy to use.

It’s very user-friendly. That’s the first thing I noticed. There is no need to spend time looking up directions. Everything is right there and easy to use.

We will film a practice and break it down by post moves. Then we break it down by what their foot work is once they get the ball. Then we can break it down by what others are doing off the ball. We look at defensive positions on and off the ball. Then we can clip out each scene. We can freeze it and go frame by frame. We can rewind and show it over and over. We can even write on the screen to make a point.

We will break down our opponent’s favorite plays and put together clips of individual players. We want to look at what tendencies they have and then show our players. The players here look at game tape almost on a daily basis. They come in throughout the day and watch tape, then spend around 15 to 20 minutes before practice watching more tape.

Having coached for over 25 years both at the high school level and on all levels of Division I, I would highly recommend the LRS® editing system to any level basketball program.
