FOOTBALL SOFTWARE GETS BOOST FROM FORMER VIDEO DIRECTOR

Award-winning Video Director weighs in on digital editing necessities.

Springfield, IL - Nov. 21, 2008 – Former Director of Video and Computer Operations for the University of North Carolina Athletics department, Chris Allen, joins LRS® Sports as a Solutions Consultant to refine current and develop new software. Football coaches rely heavily on digital footage of games to create strategy and teach players. Until now, computer programmers were the sole people behind the development of video software packages.

“Bringing Chris on with our development group will bring a whole new perspective to the entire software development process,” says Dan McCain, LRS Sports Senior Manger. “We expect Chris’s 10 years of experience with the UNC Athletics Department will shed some light on our programming to ensure our software does what coaches really need it to do.”

Chris Allen is a 2-time ACC Video Director of the Year. He’s implemented a host of new video and computer technologies, including a network-based video system for the UNC football team. In addition, he developed a multimedia campus-wide video messaging system for the football and marketing departments at UNC.

Chris notes, “I’m excited about the potential LRS Sports has to bring software beyond any coach’s dreams to reality. It’s a challenge I’m ready to take on. ”

Chris is a 1998 graduate of University of North Carolina with a double major in Psychology and Media Studies. He resides in Washington, D.C.
