Services: Hosting
Hosting your website means setting up your site with its own physical directory and IP address in our Domain Name Servers (DNS). Our developers will research available domain names and identify potential names for your website if you do not have one.
Our web servers are configured to protect content and ensure both the data integrity and availability of your site. We maintain your site on both a production and development server and restrict who can access your files.
Website usage statistics can also support your marketing efforts by measuring user traffic to confirm interest levels, identify popular site features, and more. Your site developer will send you an access id and password, enabling you to view sizing reports, Urchin statistics, and monitoring information, as well as facilitate optional content management and FTP access requirements.
If your website is not hosted at LRS, then the site may need to be packaged and installed at a remote location. If it is hosted on a Unix-based web server, then consideration must be given to the way files are accessed and the case-sensitive nature of Unix systems.
