LRS Videos Win District Gold ADDY Award

SPRINGFIELD, IL – May 1, 2008 – A DVD of videos promoting LRS® Enterprise Output Management software has won a Gold ADDY Award at the American Advertising Federation (AAF) District 6 competition. After taking top honors at both the local and district levels, the LRS videos will go on to a national award competition in June.

The ADDY Awards recognize exceptional advertising and marketing. District 6 includes all the advertisers and agencies in Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. With over 60,000 entries, the ADDY Awards is the world's largest advertising competition.

The series of videos was developed by Mark Brudnak of our Marketing Communications group and Tom Zoschke of LRS Web Services. In less than 90 seconds, each video presents a look at what can happen when printing fails: airlines stop operations, the Autobahn slows to a crawl, and deliveries are missed. There’s a lot of humor in the videos as well, from an accordion player in the Autobahn spot to an extremely disappointed little girl at the center of the Delivery presentation. All end with the message "Printing matters – find out why."

"Since the videos were primarily being shown at trade shows where the ambient audio levels were high, the challenge was to create something visually interesting that didn't rely on a narrator to tell our story," noted Tom Zoschke, who produced the video presentations. "Text that flowed with the visuals gave the pieces a dynamic quality without being too intrusive."
