Job Description:

LRS Consulting Services is seeking an Inforamtion Security Engineer for a six month contract to hire opportunity in St. Louis, MO.

Job role:
Responsible for the overall design and technical direction of information security initiatives.

Will design solutions for Information Security owned technologies.
Reviews technical solutions designed by other teams for compliance against standards and best practices based on design documentation prior to implementation. May also participate in the design phase of projects owned by other teams.

Acts as the highest point of technical escalation within Information Security.

Primary interface for technical audits.

Reviews or authors all Information Security documentation.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience with VB Scripting and Active Directory
Experience with planning and deploying Wireless Intrusion Detection sensors.

Experience managing network scanning and intrusion detection configuration.

Ability to conduct independent research and analyze complex requirements, including NIST and FISMA security standards.
Ability to implement complex technical plans (i.e. security compliance standards).
Strong written and oral communication skills in order to communicate effectively with all levels of management, peers, customers, and outside vendors.


Optional Skills:
. Fluency or willingness to become fluent, in ITIL foundational concepts.
. ITIL Practitioner level knowledge or willingness to quickly gain knowledge, applied to processes where role is applicable.
. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certified, preferred.
. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certified, preferred.
. Project Management experience/certification, preferred.
. MCSE or MCSA certification, preferred.
Seeking 5+ years of experience in Information Security or a related IT discipline, specializing in information security consultation, risk assessment, security compliance and threat management related activities.
