Currently, LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a six month + project in Wichita, KS for our client, a well-known company that will truly make a statement on your resume.
There is a strong possibility that the position will extend into a longer contract or convert to direct employment. This position is truly a fantastic opportunity to work with two well-known companies!
Description:
The successful candidate for this assignment will have experience managing projects within the IT infrastructure space. The right person for this position will be able to demonstrate a strong history of success determining scope/level of effort, creating detailed project flow/dependencies, forecasting initial cost estimate and managing actual cost and project schedule to deliver the project on time and on budget.
The duties of the position include managing multiple infrastructure projects of varying degrees of complexity through the initial requirements process to post-implementation.
The Project Manager will use their knowledge of true Project Management methodologies/processes to achieve the desired results.
In this environment, Project Managers are focused and direct in communication and leadership style. They “take charge” and ensure delivery on-time and on budget and know when to escalate.

Requirements:
Over five years of recent (2002 or later) infrastructure project management experience including defining and managing scope, schedule and cost for successful delivery/on time and on budget using a formal Project Management methodology or process.
Must have over ten years of experience within the infrastructure space (in any capacity) and be able to apply that knowledge to manage infrastructure projects and related technical and business groups.
Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience:
o Determining project requirements / scope
o Creating detailed infrastructure related project plans
o Forecasting costs / level of effort
o Managing risk and utilizing proper issue escalation as needed
o Delivering on-time and on-budget
Must have permanent authorization to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship. Sponsorship not available. No third party candidates.
Candidates local to Wichita area or surrounding cities (200 mile radius) preferred. Candidates outside of the Wichita area must be able to work Monday-Friday at the client site in Wichita without relocation or expense reimbursement nor will pay increase to accommodate travel.
