Job Description:
LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Junior SQL Server DBA for a contract in Lenexa, KS.
Job Role:
• Administer database, web, application and batch process servers with a primary focus on database monitoring and management.
• Provide basic support and troubleshooting for several database environments and SQL 2005/2008.
• Work closely with developers, support and QA teams to maintain all database environments.
• Refresh SQL databases as needed by developers or functional teams.
• Perform database administration activities including installation, monitoring, space management, database backup and recovery and disaster recovery.
• Work with senior level DBA's to accomplish database tasks.

Requirements:
Knowledge of database administration, SDLC and systems analysis procedures.
Minimum one year performing DBA activities
Experience with SQL Script processing, reading scripts, checking for standards/syntax
Experience creating Stored Procedures.
Basic working knowledge of database software and operating systems.
Able to support and maintain databases.
Candidates must have perm authorization to work in the US
Optional Skills:
Computer Science degree
