Meet Your Need for Speed with Hotkeys
As a coach analyzing your team, you need speed. You'd always like to see video faster-you would really like to begin analyzing video as soon as the game is over.
Coaches seeking faster access to visual analysis is the reason videotape replaced 16mm film and digital video replaced videotape. Computer-based digital video editing enables you to mark up game and practice video into clips that are easy to sort and filter so they're very easy to find when you want to analyze your team. The disadvantage is the computer mouse, because some users find the mouse slows them down.

Q&A For LRSSports® Technical Support
Q: I'm trying to use the Scene Detect option for capturing video. At the end of the first half of a game, I press Pause on my DV camera to indicate a break in the action. Then the camera shuts down before halftime is over, which ruins the Scene Detect option for the second half. How can I keep the camera from shutting down?
A: Cameras from some manufacturers will stay powered on only a certain amount of time in the Pause state while the heads are in contact with tape. If you're using one of those cameras, the fix is simple: Eject the tape.
