Our HistoryLRS entered the retirement administration software industry in 1987 when we designed a custom defined benefit pension system for a local public safety pension fund. By 1993, we had developed a PC version of this software and began marketing it under the name PensionPlus to police and fire pension funds throughout Illinois. LRS established an internal group dedicated to developing and marketing retirement information technology solutions for defined benefit pension funds. By 1996, we had developed a Windows-based version of our software and named it PensionGold. Just two years later, we rolled out PensionGold Version 2, which was a client-server solution. The rapid growth of interest in the Internet drove the development of PensionGold Member Services on the Web in 1999. Our group was now known as PensionGold Retirement Solutions. For public pension systems with a large number of reporting employers, or agencies, we developed the PensionGold Employer Reporting System in 2002. PGERS facilitates the scheduling, tracking, and reporting of employer information. Just two years later, LRS delivered the power of data analysis to the non-technical user with the PensionGold Business Analytics suite. The products in the suite enable users to create queries, build reports, and analyze data without assistance from the IT staff. At the same time, LRS was working on the latest version of the PensionGold solution, based on Service Oriented Architecture, Microsoft's .NET Framework, and Web Services. The result is PensionGold Public Edition (PE), the most comprehensive and flexible pension administration solution available.
