The Enterprise Systems Engineer will:- Install, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux.- Resource group functions.- Configure Cisco UCS hardware and software, including Fabric Interconnects. - Build and configure ESXi hosts and join them to clusters. - Support operational activities, such as level three system support, root cause analysis, systems validation, performance tuning and capacity management. - Work with Operations staff to improve monitoring and alerting activities.- Represent IT Engineering Services on global project teams through the implementation of new infrastructure systems, including, project planning and adherence to Company’s global project methodologies. - Provide status reports and attend team meetings.- Apply best practices for performance tuning of servers.- Upgrade system software and hardware components as required to meet customer needs.- Maintain system configuration documentation, including SOPs and IQ/OQ, software installation instructions, operating system installation and system configuration sheets.- Perform system migrations (P2V, V2V) in the Linux and UNIX (IBM AIX) environments.- Comply with SOX and IT Compliance protocols.To apply, please submit your resume to hropp@LRS.com. - 7+ years of recent experience installing, configuring, patch and automate Linux server builds using kickstart/puppet/chef automation - 5+ years of experience with server administration of VMware 5.1 or later (VMware 6 a plus) - 5+ years of Cisco UCS implementation and configuration experience - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure - Must be an expert in LinuxStrong cloud experience (Microsoft Azure) to include the following:- Cloud VNET - Storage (Storage accounts and managed disks) - Azure automation - Powershell - Azure Backups (VM Snapshots and recovery) - ASR (Azure site Recovery) - Strong Perl scripting experience- Single-Sign-on implementation experience (Centrify) - Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)- Corp to corp candidates will not be considered
- Experience with other flavors of Linux is a plus - Experience with other flavors of Unix is a plus (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX) - AWS cloud support experience
