The Network Engineers will:- Be a member of a team of engineers responsible for the certification, configuration, integration and sustained engineering of the DOCSIS and PON CPE product line.- Be responsible for the evaluation and interoperability of new CPE hardware, software & features.- Be responsible for providing the highest level of escalated technical support for the entire DOCSIS and PON CPE product line.- Be expected to foster a relationship with Operations and Champion their needs from an Advanced Engineering perspective.- Support vendors with product and service requirements based on business needs.- Mediate vendor disputes and work with vendors to correct errors in vendor implementations.- Work with CPE Architecture team to validate and correct unclear requirements.- Be responsible for assisting with EFTs and clearing issues uncovered during EFT.- Be responsible for maintaining Lab Testing Environments, Test Device Inventory, Test Plans, Defect Management Logs and additional Documentation Deliverables, as applicable.- Coach less experienced staff.- Adhere to industry specific local, state and federal regulations, as applicable.- Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamwork.- Validate configurations and execute test plans in a lab environment.- Develop documentation related to design, system configuration and technical standards.- Transfer knowledge to peers as necessary to insure the timely deployment of new technology.- Participate in industry working groups and technical forums related to technology development and standards, as required.- Perform other duties as directed by management.To apply, please submit your resume to hropp@LRS.com. - 4-year College degree, preferrably Technology related- 2+ years of experience in the Network Engineering field - Working knowledge of the following DOCSIS Specifications: DOCSIS 1.0, DOCSIS 1.1, DOCSIS 2.0, DOCSIS 3.0, DOCSIS 3.1, CCAP, DSG, IPv6, BSoD, Remote-Phy, DAA, and Packet Cable- Strong troubleshooting skills required, with an ability to quickly and accurately analyze transport, network and software configurations- Strong understanding of Passive Optical Networks required- Strong understanding of Routing and Security concepts required- Must have experience working in a large service provider or enterprise environment - Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal)- Candidate must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer- Corp to corp candidates will not be considered
- 5+ years of experience in the Network Engineering field preferred
