Levi, Ray & Shoup formalizes Captaris partnership to provide fax delivery

SPRINGFIELD, IL - October 11, 2005 -- Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) announced an agreement between LRS and Captaris to expand their relationship in North America based on complementary products and services. The relationship brings together two best-of-breed business information delivery companies. "Both LRS' print delivery capabilities and Captaris' document faxing abilities have proven track records satisfying demanding business requirements that help customers reduce costs and improve their business processes," said John Runions, global alliances manager for LRS. "Captaris RightFax and LRS Enterprise Output Management solutions increase reliability with innovative capabilities, such as a high level of error recovery, a feature which many competitive solutions lack."

Over the last several years, LRS and Captaris have worked together to provide customers with mainframe print delivery and faxing solutions. Today, the relationship has expanded to support the new LRS VPSX? Output Management solution for open systems environments. This certified for SAP NetWeaver solution provides a central point of control for managing all critical business output from a customer preferred open systems platform. It features proactive capabilities that assure output delivery, capture and track output from any platform or application, and proactively alert users and administrators about any issue. This relationship enhances customers' abilities to deliver output regardless of format, destination device, and originating operating system.

The RightFax solution enables customers to eliminate fax machines or an ineffective fax server system and immediately reduce their document delivery costs by up to 90 percent. VPSX software additionally provides extensive capabilities to manage and control printing, recover print costs, and reduce support calls, as well as encrypting and compressing sensitive documents. "This partnership emphasizes the valuable working relationship between Captaris and LRS," said Eddie Pasatiempo, senior vice president of sales and global field operations for Captaris. "This is a new opportunity to extend our offerings to customers and collectively work to sharpen the integration between Captaris Business Information Delivery products and LRS Enterprise Output Management products."
