Team Wilkerson

LRS has been a proud sponsor of the Levi, Ray & Shoup NHRA Funny Car and Team Wilkerson for more than 20 years. Tim Wilkerson drives the LRS Ford Shelby Mustang and, as crew chief, tunes the car’s engine for each pass down the track.

Wilk ran his first alcohol funny car in 1990 and he began his nitro funny car career in 1996. He was the first rookie funny car driver to go over 300 mph and the seventh member of the Castrol 4-Second Club. His career best speed is 333.74 mph, and his career best e.t. is 3.844.

He won his first race in Joliet, Illinois, in 1999 and won the famed US Nationals in September 2003. In all, Wilk has won 20 nitro funny car races and one alcohol funny car race.

One thing is for certain: Tim Wilkerson will be ready to roll at every NHRA race weekend. He's simply one of the best drivers and most talented tuners in the sport, with his LRS Shelby Mustang.
