LRS® Web Solutions - The BIG Website Makeover

Congratulations to the Champaign County Humane Society for winning a brand new $10,000 website makeover! They captured the most votes over the two-week voting period.

The mission of the Champaign County Humane Society is to prevent animal cruelty, promote animal welfare, and educate the public about the humane care and treatment of animals through sheltering and adoption services. The creation of this new site will enable them to increase their fundraising efforts, easily administer their website content and updates, and better communicate information about their services and events.

We’d like to extend congratulations to our 2nd and 3rd place winners too!

Second Place: ARC Community Support Systems receives a free online social media package.

Third Place: Big Brothers Big Sisters of West Central Illinois receives a free online photo gallery.

This wasn’t just any makeover contest. It was The BIG Website Makeover, back for a second consecutive year due to the phenomenal response in 2010. It’s a big website makeover that we hope will have a BIG impact in the community – your community.

We are LRS Web Solutions, and we want to continue putting our custom website design and development expertise to good use for the community. For that reason, we are offering this website makeover contest once again to allow you - the public - the opportunity to nominate and vote for a nonprofit organization to receive a complete $10,000 website makeover!

HERE WAS THE DEAL

The nonprofit had to be an official 501(c)3 organization.
It had to serve the greater community in central Illinois. Click here to see the list of counties.
It had to have an existing website in need of a complete makeover.

That’s basically it. There were some other rules and regulations that our legal department wanted us to share with you. You can still read them here.

We had nominations open for three weeks. After three weeks, nominations were closed and a panel of judges selected 10 finalists.

Then there were two weeks to vote. After the two weeks passed, the charity with the most votes won a brand new $10,000 website! A second place winner received a free online social media package, and a third place winner received a free online photo gallery.
